Learning outcomes

The student is able to plan and execute a scientific research project. The student can make a research plan that fulfills the scientific criteria, carry out the practical work with appropriate methods, and critically analyse the obtained results. The student possesses problem solving skills to tackle demanding research questions. The student has gained deep knowledge of a specific topic and insight into real research and development work.

Contents

The thesis research project consists of independent work. The student will make a research plan and perform the research under supervision, possibly as part of a research group. The results of the project will be presented as part of SYST1161 Research Seminar. The seminar course also helps the student to begin the thesis research and writing work.
