Learning outcomes

The aim is to enable the students to reflect and use feminist research methods.
Students will be able
- to understand the methodology of feminist research methods
- to identify different feminist research methods

Contents

The course focuses on the methodology of feminist research. Different ways to examine the texts and data are discussed. Students learn how the research questions and findings are related to the assumptions on which the research methods are based. They will examine one specific feminist research method (e. g. reading practices, ethnography, participatory research). The focus will be on the methodological basis and the ways of analyzing the topic. The selection of the covered methods will be based on the interests of the students. The students will be guided step-by-step through the research process. The end result will be a well-grounded argument based on the analysis.
