If you are unsure whether this course is compulsory for you, please contact your MA program coordinator.

You must be actively writing your thesis during the course.

  • Lectures 6 h
  • Personal instruction 2 h
  • Independent work 45 h

Teaching times and places:

This course will run from the 17th of January 2018 - 9th May 2017

This course will mainly be taught online, through Moodle, with group sessions and individual sessions with the teacher arranged as needed throughout the course.

Students must attend ONE of the introductory meetings at the beginning of the course:

Wednesday 17th January 2018, 16.15 - 17.45, Room 245, Agora

Thursday 18th January, 16.15 - 17.45, Room 248, Agora

If this course is compulsory for you, but you feel you have enough experience and skill in writing English at a high academic level, you can apply for an exemption from the course. This exemption is not automatically granted to native English speakers. If you are unsure whether this course is compulsory for you, please contact your MA program coordinator.

Students applying for exemption should contact the teacher in charge at the beginning of the course, outlining why they think the exemption is justified, along with a sample of their academic writing in English. The teacher will then assess each application on a case-by-case basis.

Enrolment is arranged directly with your MA program coordinator.

Priority is given to students for whom the course is compulsory.
