The role of knowledge in the survival of the firm (routines vs innovations).

During lectures 5 and 6 we attempt to understand the role of knowledge/learning for survival and growth of the firm. We like to contrast different sets of archetypical behaviours usually displayed by different organisations in different contexts and stages of development.

 

In both lectures and the exercises students will contribute significantly by providing their own insights derived from pre-allocated literature.

The discussions will be led by a panel of experts invited from industry. Your task is to make questions to the industry experts and to be prepared to discuss with them about the issues related to the themes related to the course. Questions are prepared in the exercise groups.
